I voted!

"I Voted!" That is what the sticker on my shirt says. Today is the Presidential Primary election in Oklahoma. If you are registered, take the time to go vote!

I felt proud in marking my ballot this morning because I remember the struggle that was fought for women to earn the right to vote. Thanks to the trailblazers of the suffrage movement, many who fought harrassment and jailtime, I can proudly walk into a polling place today. It's been 88 years. Only 88. Think about it. And be proud when you go to cast your vote!

Just found your blog -- nice to have another pro-choice Okie woman in the blogosphere. I look forward to reading more about this issue and OK policy/politics. Thanks.
